Signing In
Everything in Embernxt HRIS sits behind a sign-in, so this is where every visit starts.
Before you begin
Section titled “Before you begin”You need two things:
- The web address of your system. Your HR team will give you this. It looks
like
https://hr.yourcompany.com. It is worth saving it as a bookmark the first time, so you never have to remember it again. - Your account. HR creates this for you. Your username is your work email address. Your first password comes from HR — usually by email, sometimes in person.
The sign-in screen
Section titled “The sign-in screen”Open your web browser, type in your system’s address, and press Enter. You will land here.
Signing in
Section titled “Signing in”-
Click into the Email address box and type your work email address in full, including the part after the @ sign.
-
Click into the Password box and type your password.
The password is hidden as you type, showing dots instead of letters. This is normal and it is there so nobody standing behind you can read it.
-
Click the orange Login button.
You can also just press Enter on your keyboard instead of clicking.
If everything matches, the system takes you straight to your dashboard, and you are in. If it does not, see When something goes wrong below.
About “Remember me”
Section titled “About “Remember me””The Remember me tick box keeps you signed in on this device, so you do not have to type your password every time.
- Tick it on a computer or phone only you use.
- Leave it unticked on any shared or public computer — a reception desk, a shared laptop, an internet café. Ticking it there means the next person to open the browser is still signed in as you.
The cookie notice
Section titled “The cookie notice”The first time you visit, a small Cookie Consent panel appears at the bottom of the screen. Cookies are how the site remembers that you are signed in as you move between pages, so the system needs them to work at all.
Click Accept All and it will go away. It will not ask again on that device.
If you forget your password
Section titled “If you forget your password”This happens to everyone. There is no need to contact anybody.
-
On the sign-in screen, click Forgot password? — it sits just to the right of the word Password.
-
Type your work email address into the box.
-
Click the button to send the reset link.
-
Go to your email inbox and look for a message from the system. It usually arrives within a minute or two.
-
Click the link in that email. It opens a page where you can type a new password twice — once to set it, once to confirm you typed it as you meant to.
-
Click to save, then sign in with your new password.
When something goes wrong
Section titled “When something goes wrong”Almost every failed sign-in is one of these. Work down the list.
| What you see | What it usually means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| “These credentials do not match our records” | The email or the password is wrong | Check for typos. Make sure Caps Lock is off — passwords are case-sensitive, so Summer and summer are different. Try typing the password into the email box first so you can see it, then move it across. |
| Nothing happens when you click Login | A required field is empty, or the page is still working | Look for red text under the boxes. Wait a few seconds — a slow connection can take a moment. |
| “Too many login attempts” | The system has locked you out temporarily after several wrong guesses | Wait a minute and try again. This is a security feature and it clears on its own. |
| The page will not load at all | The address is wrong, or you are offline | Check the address carefully. Try another website to confirm you are online. |
| You are signed in as somebody else | Someone else used this browser and ticked Remember me | Sign out using the menu at the top right, then sign in as yourself. |
| Your password works but you land somewhere unexpected | Nothing is wrong | The system sends you to the right home screen for your role. |
Signing out
Section titled “Signing out”When you have finished, especially on a shared computer, sign out properly rather than just closing the tab. See Your Account.
