Clocking In and Out

Clocking in records the time you started work; clocking out records the time you finished. Between them, the system works out the hours you were present that day, and those hours feed your payslip.

You do this from your dashboard, which is the screen you land on when you sign in. Look for the Attendance card.

The employee dashboard, with an Attendance card in the middle of the page containing Clock In and Clock Out buttons and the times for today
  1. Find the Attendance card, headed “Today’s clock in / clock out”.

  2. Click the green Clock In button.

  3. The time appears in the box on the left, and the banner at the top of the page changes from Not clocked in yet to show that you are clocked in.

That is the whole thing. There is nothing to save and nothing to confirm.

Same card, at the end of your working day.

  1. Click Clock Out.

  2. The time appears in the box on the right.

The banner at the top of your dashboard shows the shift you are assigned to and its hours — for example Morning Shift, 09:00 – 18:00.

Your shift matters because it is what the system compares your actual times against to decide whether a day counts as present, late, or a half day. If the shift shown is wrong, tell HR — it is set on your employee record and only they can change it.

Go to Attendance → Attendance Records in the sidebar.

The Attendance Records screen, showing a calendar of the month with each day's attendance and a table of records below

This shows every day that has been recorded for you, with the times and the status the system worked out. Use the month controls to look at earlier months.

Typical statuses:

Status Means
Present You clocked in and out, and the hours met your shift
Half Day You were present, but for roughly half the expected hours
Late You clocked in after your shift start time
Absent No attendance was recorded for a working day
Holiday A company or public holiday, so no attendance was expected
On Leave You had approved leave that day

If a day is recorded wrongly — you forgot to clock in, the times are wrong, or you were marked absent when you were not — you do not edit it yourself. You ask for it to be corrected, which is called a regularization.

Go to Attendance → Attendance Regularizations and add a request. You will be asked which date it concerns, what the record should say, and why. It then goes to your manager or HR to approve, and the attendance record is corrected only once they do.

I clocked in twice by mistake. No harm done — the first one counts. Mention it to HR if the record looks odd.

I work from home. Do I still clock in? Yes, unless your organization has told you otherwise. The system does not know or care where you are.

I forgot to clock in this morning and it is now the afternoon. Clock in now so the rest of the day is recorded, then raise a regularization for the correct start time.

Nothing happens when I click Clock In. Check whether the banner already says you are clocked in. If it does not, refresh the page and try once more; if it still does nothing, tell HR rather than clicking repeatedly.
